AV Equipment & Breakout Rooms
Each of the breakout rooms is equipped with a screen, laptop computer, and computer projector that can be used for Powerpoint presentations, or to play CDs/DVDs. We will not have sufficient tech support to change out multiple laptops in the course of sessions, so we encourage presenters to bring powerpoint presentations or other files on a jump drive. Only bring your laptop if it's a Mac, and be sure to bring ALL NECESSARY CABLES.
A tech support person will be in each room from 7 am to 8 am each morning; you can load your powerpoint then into folders organized by session so it will be ready during the day; there will also be graduate student volunteers in each room during the day to help load presentations, and to assist with AV issues. Professional tech support will also be on call.
Depending on size, some rooms will be equipped with microphones. No overhead projectors.
The basic set-up for each room will be "theater style," that is, a lectern up front for the session presenters, audience seating of chairs arranged in rows.
